Tax Day Tea Parties: A Futile Gesture or a Clarion Call?

04-20-09

Depending on who you would believe, last week's "Tax Day Tea Parties" drew crowds of somewhere between 250 thousand and 1 million angry Americans who are fed up with the Obama Administration's economic policies. Personally, I think it was closer to half a million. Still, that is quite a number for people who would prefer to be at their jobs and going about the business of raising their families. In all 50 states, Americans rose up and with a single voice screamed "ENOUGH"!!! Enough with the tax hikes that rob working people of their hard-earned wages so to be "redistributed" to those who think they are owed a free ride on the backs of tax payers (which is what SOCIALISM is). Enough with leftists on Capitol Hill and in the media like "Air America's" Janeane Garofalo and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, who denounce conservatives as "Right-Wing, gun-crazy, redneck racists" who work for the "Obscenely Wealthy" Americans who they believe are behind the protests. In essence....Enough.

The question we as conservatives is simple: Can this one day of protest generate enough momentum to make a difference when it will count? Can and will these same angry Americans take this spirit of the "Tea Bag Revolution" to the polls next November and vote out those who would continue to rob us of our future economic strength as well as our freedoms? We need a strong conservative movement, one made up of both Republicans AND Democrats (so-called "Blue Dogs") that will shut down the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (perhaps run them both out of Washington for good). If we cannot sustain and harness ire into a strong voting bloc that will free us from liberal tyranny, we might as well give up now and  start reading from Mao Zedong's "Little Red Book" while trudging through the rice paddies at the  commune.

Here's an idea. How about another protest march? Say...4th of July weekend in say...Washington? I'm up for it. Are You?

To My Readers...I HAVE NOT ABANDONED YOU!!!

04-09-09

To my readers....

Granted, it has been more than two weeks since my last entry. So much has occured that it is difficult to keep up with specifics. However, I am still keeping track of Barack Obama's apologizing around the world for America's greatness as well as Nancy Pelosi's demagoguery on Capitol Hill, and I will make my thoughts known. That I vow to all of you. It is my mission to do so as an American Dissident.

SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER!!

03-17-09

Are you ready to SCREAM BLOODY MURDER!!??

After getting a $170 BILLION bailout from the Federal Government, AIG Insurance is about to pay out $165 MILLION in bonuses to it's senior executives. The Obama administration as well as The Senate's top Republican are  angered about the move and plan to prevent future paments. AIG has argued that the bonuses were covered under contracts signed prior to the bailout and witholding the bonuses would lead to breach of contract suits by the payees. However, AIG Chairman Edward Liddy did say future payments would be restrained. These are the same CEOs who just about ran AIG into the ground. These IDIOTS need to be shown the doors to their prison cells, not rewarded for their incompetence....Or Corruption.

Last week, President Obama signed off on a $410 BILLION omnibus spending bill aimed at keeping the Federal Government running for the remainder of the current fiscal year. Although he campaigned on a pledge to curb spending on congressional pet projects (AKA: "Earmarks", AKA: "PORK"), Obama signed off on 7991 such projects, totalling $5.5 BILLION. Granted, some earmarks can serve some public service. The problem is that some spending can lead to abuses like bribes and kickbacks. Obama said theis was an "Imperfect" bill and has stated future spending will subject to more severe scrutiny. "Imperfect," Mr. President? $787 BILLION in Your first "Stimulus" package, now another $410 BILLION? That's $1.197 TRILLION you have signed off on since your inaguration. And you've only been in office less than two months. For that kind of money...Our tax money...We deserve PERFECTION!!! This one definitely goes down as a broken promise. This and your promise not to have lobbyists working in the White House.

Strangely absent from the $410 BILLION omnibus spending bill President Obama signed off on was funding for Washington, DC's  program that alloweed inner city school children to attend private schools within the District. Some 1700 city students benefitted from the $12.1 Million voucher program started by Then-President George Bush in 2004. Teachers unions oppose vouchers because private schools, for the most part, do not have unionized teachers. Democrats rely on union support and have long opposed school vouchers so as to appease teachers unions. Question: Whatever happened to the Democrat's pledge to better this country "For the Children"?  I guess helping children get a quality education is not part of that pledge if it conflicts with organized labor. Mr. President, don't your daughters attend a private school? How about leading by example and send them to public school? Jimmy Carter did.

After the 9/11 attacks, the Department of Homeland Security determind that the Speaker of the House of Representatives be given acces to govenment-owned aircraft for the puopose of travelling from Washington to his/her home district and eliminate the need for their using commercial airliners. The Speaker of the House is 3rd in line for the Presidency under the line of succession as stated in the 25th Amendment. At the time this policy was established, Dennis Hastert (R-IL) was Speaker. All he needed was a short range jet to get home. Now, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is Speaker and needs a plane with a longer range. The problem is that she insists on using a high-end G5 luxury jet, citing the long-range requirement and security concerns related to the need to land and refuel a smaller plane. Allegations also exist that Pelosi and her aides have cancelled flights at the last minute, costing the Department of Defense (which operates the aircraft) a fortune. It is ironic that Pelosi railed on Auto execs who came to DC on private jets looking for bailout money. Hey, Nancy. Why don't you just hitch a ride on a military C-130 and save the taxpayers some money and grief? Better yet, why don't you just pony up and buy a new broom?

What do you call a person who is trying to kill an American serviceman in wartime or stage a terrorist attack on American soil? If you call them an "enemy combatant," you are wrong.  The Obama administration has dropped the term for suspected terrorists and that international law will govern the detention of terror suspects being held at Guantanamo Bay Prison, which Obama wants shut down. From now on, they will be referred to in legal standing as "detainees". Let me get this straight. If a person plants a bomb or tries to kill an American soldier, they are not an "enemy combatant"? They are an enemy, they are in combat against us. Enemy + Combatant = "Enemy Combatant"....DUH!! I guess common sense violates international as well as federal law. But then again, international law is a joke.

Congressional Spending: WAY OUTTA CONTROL!!!

03-10-09

Well, Folks...

49 days (7 weeks for those in Hollywood and San Francisco) have passed since Barack Obama was sworn in as President. So far he and his cronies on Capitol Hill have spent $787 BILLION of our hard-earned money on the so-called economic "STIMULUS" bill. Now they want another $410 BILLION on an omnibus spending package with over 9,000 "Earmark" spending requests from individual representatives ("OINK, OINK"). What we have here is not fiscal responsibility by any stretch of the imagination.  This is two decades of liberal wishes nearing to fruition after conservative firewalls finally being torn down via a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress and control of the White House. Some of the more known slices of pork include:
1) A high-speed rail line from Los Angeles to Las Vegas ("OINK")
2) Research into swine odor ("OINK, Stinky OINK")
3) Funding of astronomy programs in Hawaii ("OINK" with an apple in it's mouth, served with poi)
Those are just a few. I'm not blaming this entirely on Democrats. There is some Republican Bacon in this bill and those GOP lawmakers need to be shamed into reversing their positions and have those requests withdrawn.

I urge anyone who reads this blog to get a copy of this spending bill and give it a good reading. Then contact your House Rep and both Senators and let them know in no uncertain terms that spending has gone out of control and needs to be stemmed We as a nation cannot afford such largesse. We must make it clear to those we elect to serve us that they do so at our pleasure and will face our wrath at the polls in November 2010 unless they start tightening the purse strings and do so now, by voting against this spending bills unless the earmarks are stripped out...OR ELSE!!!

Obama's "Stimulus" Bill...LET THE PORK FLOW!!!

02-16-09

Well, Folks...

It is done, Congress has passed the largest government spending bill in history and has sent it on to President Obama for his signature. $787 BILLION of our taxpayer dollars will be passed off as "Stimulus" to jump start a crippled economy. Stimulating the economy is all fine and good to me, but this bill ain't cutting it. There's still way too much pork spending and way too little in the way of tax cuts and spending cuts. There were no cuts in capital gains, windfall profits or payroll taxes Those measures would definitely lead to economic growth. However, cutting taxes for the "Wealthy" violates liberal dogma. What we have here is some 14 years of liberal earmarks that were kept on the backburner waiting for the Democrats to retake both the Congress and the Presidency with full control. Spending on social programs such as food stamps ($20 BILLION). Spending for "Paid Volunteers" at the Corporation for National and Community Service ($160 MILLION). Spending for the national passenger rail system AMTRAK ($850 MILLION) which as not made a dime in 40 years. Spending on "Smoking cessation activities" (75 MILLION), I'll bet no lawmaker in the "Big Tobacco" States supported that earmark. How about The National Endowment of the Arts ($50 MILLION). Every time I think of Government support of the arts, I think of Robert Mapplethorpe, whose artwork was considered offensive (Crucifixes dipped in urine). Mapllethorpe died of AIDS in 1989 and I keep thinking which is more important, bankrolling his artwork or artwork like it, or taking that money and spending it on research to fine a cure for the disease that took his life. Now, Here's my favorite, funding for community activists groups like The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). You remember ACORN? That band of great Americans whose strongarm tactics aimed at forcing mortgage lenders to relax their loan standard requirements to low-income homebuyers were a contributing factor in the collapse of the mortgage industry. This is of course when they weren't engaged in mass voter registration fraud. Remember when the ACORN office in Las Vegas was raided by the Feds for signing up the entire starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys?

These were just a few of the "Porky" amendments Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) said the American people did not really care about. These "Porky"  amendments are paid for with OUR TAX MONEY!!! The American people had better bloody well start caring about where the money goes when it is coming form our pockets. I wonder how much of this spending orgy will actually lead to economic prosperity. How many permanent jobs will come from this bill? How much wealth will be generated? How many generations of Americans
will it take to pay this off? Questions like these should have been addressed before passing this legislation on to President Obama for his signiture. All I can say is that this plan had better work. $787 BILLION had better get results or we are all going to suffer.

Three Weeks so far...NO MIRACLES YET!!!

02-10-09

Well, Folks...

Three weeks have passed since Barack Obama was sworn in as President. What do we have so far? The economy is still in the dumper with job losses piling up like compost. Partisan warfare still rages on Capitol Hill with Republicans on Defense against Democratic efforts to rob the American taxpayer blind with outrageous spending and little or no frugality. Obama has already broken his pledge to bar lobbyists from his inner circle and he can't find a Cabinet secretary who hasn't had trouble with the IRS. Oh, did I mention He may try to weaslel his way out of withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq by next year. Nice Going, Mr. President. So much for change.

In future writings, I'll be taking a look what is in store for us and give you my take on the issues at hand. You will get my opinion, as well as what I think might work better that what our esteemed servants in Washington want to jam down our throats.

Inauguration Day: A time to celebrate.

01-20-09

Today is a day to celebrate Democracy's payoff. Today we celebrate the peaceful transition of power from one political party to another. While I am disappointed that John McCain will not be taking the oath of the Presidency, I am content that the White House was not taken by force of arms as is still the case through much of the world. George Bush will retire to his home in Texas and live out the rest of his life in peace, rather than be forced into exile in another country. That is, of course, if the far left doesn't push for his prosecution for war crimes stemming from his efforts to prevent another terrorist attack on American soil. Barack Obama will make history as the first African-American to be sworn in as President. His work will be cut out for him as soon as he first addressed as "Mr. President." That, however is for tomorrow. Today we party. Once again I say Farewell Mr. Bush. Thank you for your service to this country,  and Good Luck, President Obama. You're gonna need it.

An open Letter to President Bush

01-18-09

Dear Mr. President:

By this time next week, your term of office will be over and America will move on under Barack Obama's watch. I will most likely be in the minority when I say this..You will be missed. Your clarity and resolve in the face of opposition your entire administration was an inspiration to a country still in desperate need of leadership today. It is a tragedy that you had to endure the acrimony and raging hatred better deserved by the likes of Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. You were dealt a bad hand and you played it the best you could and did not fold. As time goes on, history will not forgive you, it will vindicate you. Gerald Ford sacrificed his political future to begin the healing process after Watergate when he pardoned Richard Nixon. Your father sacrificed his re-election to stave off an economic crisis. You, sir, have for now sacrificed your legacy to keep this country safe in the aftermath of 9/11. Eventually, sacrifices redeem themselves. Yours will no doubt be redeemed in time. As for now, I say this. On behalf of those who stood by you throughout these past eight years,
Thank You.  Take Care.

2008: POST MORTEM

01-06-09

Well, Folks...

2008 is history, and not a minute too soon.  In 2008 we were subjected to high gas prices, an economy in freefall culminating in hundreds of BILLIONS of our taxpayer dollars spent on bailouts to banks, insurace companies  whose CEOs went on to party like it was 1999 again. The "Big-3" Automakers went hat in hand to Washington for their own bailouts, flying into DC on private jets to ask for the money (talk about unmittigated gall). Natural disasters killed tens of thousands in China and Myanmar (formerly Burma) and oh, by the way, we voted a Communist from Chicago ( that great bastion of crooked politics) into the White House over a man who spent 5 years in a POW camp for fighting against Communism. Here in Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick resigned as mayor and went to jail for lying about text messages to his mistress under oath during a civil trial. At this writing,  Al Franken (D),  an alumnus of "Saturday Night Live" may be sent to the U.S.Senate from Minnesota after the most contentious Congressional races in recent memory (Dennis Miller, we need you now). Voters in California chose to ban same-sex marriage and Gays just about declared war on the democratic process with lawsuits and protests against Proposition-8. It seems to the left that the mantra "Count every vote and make every vote count" only applies when they win. If they lose, it's off to the courts to set the will of the people aside.  Could it get any worse? Well the Detroit Lions did make history going an entire  NFL season without winning a game and the University of Michigan Wolverines suffered their first losing season in 4 decades of NCAA Football. Words like "Bailout", "Maverick" and "Truthiness" entered the cultural lexicon and expressions like "getting shoved under the bus" were used more frequently than in the past. 2009 has to be better, or we are all going to be screwed with our pants on......HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Thanksgiving: Another holiday to hate?

11-26-08

The Thanksgiving holidays are upon us. It is a time for families to come together and celebrate family, feast and enjoy a good football game on TV (Except here in Detroit).  Nowadays, however, there are those who believe Thanksgiving is wrong and there should be no celebration. To the "Politically Correct", Thanksgiving is symbolic of "European Imperialism" against  Aboriginal peoples, Native Americans in this case. Vegetarians and animal rights groups such as PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) reel aganst the holiday for the slaughter of innocent turkeys and try to guilt us into forgoing turkey for tofu. Frankly, I've had it up to my neck with this garbage. If the "PC" crowd does not want to celebrate Thanksgiving (or any other holiday, for that matter), that is their right. Just don't try to impose your views on the rest of us. Self-Righteousness gets old real fast. I'm going to pig out on turkey and watch the Lions. If you have a problem with that....GET STUFFED!!!

Sometime during the Thanksgiving festivities, I hope we all can take a moment to think about those who stand watch while we enjoy ourselves and honor their sacrifice. Those in uniform who serve far from their own homes in the Armed Forces, those who toe the thin blue line on our streets, who wait for the fire alarm they pray doesn't sound and those who stand ready in hospitals hoping not to be needed. I also hope we can take a moment to think about those less fortunate this season, and perhaps find ways to lessen their suffering.

"Enough Said!".....HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Prop. 8: GET OVER IT!!!

11-25-08

Two weeks have passed since voters in California approved Proposition 8, which amends the state constitution to state that marriage is defined as an exclusive relationship between one man and one woman. In effect prohibiting same-sex marriage. The backlash from gay rights activists has risen to a near riot level of anger. Boycotts have been staged against business owners and threats made against those found supporting Prop 8. Protesters took to the streets and have vowed to overturn the results in the courts. Is this what we have to look forward to from now on? Will every election and ballot initiative face this kind of backlash from those on the losing side? Will the outcome of every vote face a judges veto? That is NOT Democracy. The will of the people must be respected regardless of the results. I voted for John McCain, but I (along with the rest of America's conservatives) must live with the reality that Barack Obama won the Presidency. We as Republicans do not take to the streets or go crying to the courts to strike down elections we do not win. If those who oppose Prop 8 want to overturn it legally, do it the right way. Get a repeal on the ballot for the next election and let the people of California decide. That is Democracy.

NO BAILOUT FOR THE BIG-3 UNLESS....

11-17-08

This week, a "Lame Duck" session of Congress will debate the issue of whether or not Ford, GM and Chrysler will get $50 BILLION of our taxpayer dollars to keep them from going out of business and sending the USA into an economic apocalypse First AIG insurance, then the mortgage industry. Now this. Frankly I'd rather see them all go Chapter 11 and file for bankruptcy. The problem is that would certainly make matters worse (if that were at all possible). The way I see it, we are all going to get hit on this one. But it doesn't mean we cannot have our say as to how this bailout is run. This is going to have to be a three-way deal between the "Big-3", the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the Federal government representing the taxpayers, who must foot this bill.

From the "Big-3":

1) All three Chief Executive Officers: Rick Waggoner (GM), Allan Mullaly (Ford ) and Robert Nardelli (Chrysler) must take full responsibility for the entire disaster and resign their  posts without further compensation...NO GOLDEN PARACHUTES!!!!

2) NO MORE LAYOFFS!!!  NO MORE OUTSOURCING!!! American-based production facilities that were shut down in favor of offshore operations must be re-opened and their employees recalled. All offshore operations must be closed permanently and sold off . Bring these jobs back.

3) Representatives of the Government and the UAW must be seated on the boards of directors to oversee the spending of bailout  funds and to vote the proxies of both the rank and file and the taxpaying "Investors".  Think of this as a form of taxpayer/employee co-ownership. As such, we as "Investors" should be entitled to shares of stock. Preferred stock for auto workers and common stock for the rest of us.

4) This one will hurt. No more SUVs. Automakers will have to commit to producing vehicles subject to higher fuel economy and environmental standards. We could see the revival of the Ford Pinto or a Chrysler version of the Gremlin.

From the U.S. Government:

1)  Demand that Ford, GM and Chrysler present their books for a full-scale audit by the IRS.

2)  Adopt a "Carrot and stick" approach regarding hiring employees, Tax credits for creating jobs in the United States and tax penalties for layoffs.

3) Guarantee retiree benefits. Most auto workers have worked their whole adult lives in one car plant the benefits they have were hard earned and fought for at the negotiating table. Pension and medical benefits must be protected as part of any bailout deal.

4) Whenever I see footage of foreign cars being driven off cargo ships, I know another American auto worker loses his/her job. Their access to our market needs to restricted so as to give our industry a chance to recover. Foreign car makers like Toyota and Nissan as well as Mercedes Benz and BMW must commit to the goal of 100% domestic content in their vehicles sold here. That means buying more engines, transmissions and other parts from domestic suppliers as well as opening full-scale production plants on American soil. More production plants means more jobs. It's just that simple. Otherwise, higher tariffs and other restrictions should be established including a ban on importing assembled vehicles (to require they be assembled in U.S. facilities).

From the UAW:

1) Labor peace for the duration of the bailout, NO STRIKES!!!

2) Wage and benefit concessions in exchange for job security. Any givebacks would be offset by stock in the respective companies.

3) The adversarial relationship between management and labor must end. Automakers and the UAW must enter into genuine partnerships for the survival of the American auto industry.

UAW President Ron Gettelfinger has made it clear the union will not make any more concessions. Perhaps he needs to reconsider his decision. Standing your ground is one thing. The problem is he is standing in quicksand. His stubborn refusal to face reality will cost hundreds of thousands of Americans their jobs.

This is OUR money being used. We as taxpayers and now investors have a right to demand accountability from the Auto Industry, Government and Labor....OUR MONEY!!!

Obama says he is pro-gun....LIAR!!!

"Yes We Can . . . Ban Guns"--Obama Announces Gun Ban Agenda Before The Final Vote Count Is In

Friday, November 07, 2008

Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign slogan, "the audacity of hope," should have instead been "the audacity of deceit." After months of telling the American people that he supports the Second Amendment, and only hours after being declared the president-elect, the Obama transition team website announced an agenda taken straight from the anti-gun lobby--four initiatives designed to ban guns and drive law-abiding firearm manufacturers and dealers out of business:

"Making the expired federal assault weapons ban permanent." Perhaps no other firearm issue has been more dishonestly portrayed by gun prohibitionists. Notwithstanding their predictions that the ban's expiration in 2004 would bring about the end of civilization, for the last four years the nation's murder rate has been lower than anytime since the mid-1960s. Studies for Congress, the Congressional Research Service, the National Institute of Justice, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have found no evidence that gun prohibition or gun control reduces crime. Guns that were affected by the ban are used in only a tiny fraction of violent crime-about 35 times as many people are murdered without any sort of firearm (knives, bare hands, etc.), as with "assault weapons." Obama says that "assault weapons" are machine guns that "belong on foreign battlefields," but that is a lie; the guns are only semi-automatic, and they are not used by a military force anywhere on the planet.

"Repeal the Tiahrt Amendment." The amendment--endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police--prohibits the release of federal firearm tracing information to anyone other than a law enforcement agency conducting a bona fide criminal investigation. Anti-gun activists oppose the restriction, because it prevents them from obtaining tracing information and using it in frivolous lawsuits against law-abiding firearm manufacturers. Their lawsuits seek to obtain huge financial judgments against firearm manufacturers when a criminal uses a gun to inflict harm, even though the manufacturers have complied with all applicable laws.

"Closing the gun show loophole." There is no "loophole." Under federal law, a firearm dealer must conduct a background check on anyone to whom he sells a gun, regardless of where the sale takes place. A person who is not a dealer may sell a gun from his personal collection without conducting a check. Gun prohibitionists claim that many criminals obtain guns from gun shows, though the most recent federal survey of convicted felons put the figure at only 0.7 percent. They also claim that non-dealers should be required to conduct checks when selling guns at shows, but the legislation they support goes far beyond imposing that lone requirement. In fact, anti-gun members of Congress voted against that limited measure, holding out for a broader bill intended to drive shows out of business.

"Making guns in this country childproof." "Childproof" is a codeword for a variety of schemes designed to prevent the sale of firearms by imposing impossible or highly expensive design requirements, such as biometric shooter-identification systems. While no one opposes keeping children safe, the fact is that accidental firearm-related deaths among children have decreased 86 percent since 1975, even as the numbers of children and guns have risen dramatically. Today, the chances of a child being killed in a firearm accident are less than one in a million.

Campaign 08': Now Obama has to Deliver.

11-11-08

Well, Folks...

A week has passed since Barack Obama made history. Our new President made a lot of campaign promises to get elected. Now, he has to make good on ALL of them. Otherwise, his Presidency will be short and the Democrat's hold on Congress will be even shorter. As it stands now, Obama must:

1) Get our troops out of Iraq and leave a stable, pro-western and democratic government in charge and able to stand up for themselves. If we pull out before those conditions are not met, and either Iran or Al-Queda roll in and take over, every American we lost there will be in vain. It won't be another Vietnam as anti-war groups claim...It will be worse.

2) End our addiction to foreign oil and establish energy independence. The problem is that he also promised the environmentalist lobbies that drilling for our own oil, developing clean coal and building new nuclear power plants would not be options. Obama needs to wake up and face reality on this one.

3) Bolster our economy back to prosperity while still taxing corporate America into total collapse. Not to mention keeping his word not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $250 thousand a year.

Making promises on the campaign trail is one thing. Now President Obama has to keep them. He won't have the Republicans to blame if anything goes wrong. The Democrats will be in charge of Congress and will not be able to cite GOP interference. The American people will be watching and will accept NO EXCUSES. 2010 is a lot closer than 2012 and the Republicans will be waiting to retake Congress in the Mid-Term elections. As for Barack Obama, he will have to worry about the American people...and Hillary Clinton.

Obama wins, America Loses. We have ourselves to blame.

11-04-08

As I am writing this, the voting has begun in earnest for the U.S. Presidency. Although the polls are calling this a tight race, I fear the inevitible..That Barack Obama will win the White House and our country will be the worse for it. I see double-digit unemployment in our future, rampant taxation and govenment spending like never before. I see our national security so badly compromised that we well most certainly suffer another terrorist attack. There are bad times ahead for us. And we have only ourselves to blame Why? Many blame the Bush administration's missteps and want change no matter what change means.  There was wide-spread corruption on both sides and the people wanted a purge on Capitol Hill. Many voters argue that economic factors far outweigh issues of character and voted accordingly.
They don't care that Obama's inner circle included Domestic terrorists like William Ayers, radical ministers like Jeremiah Wright and racketeers like Tony Rezco. All they see is thier 401(k)s tanking and want their money back even if it means electing a SOCIALIST (who would, of course, take that money to "Spread the Wealth"). Many say that as much as they cannot stand Obama, they cannot bring themselves to support John McCain and would rather sit out the election and hope for a better deal in 2012 or vote for a third party candidate with no hope of winning. All I can hope for is that by 2010, voters will be so fed up with liberals like Nancy Pelosi that the Democrats will be run off the Hill in the Mid-Term elections and a Republican majority will act as a firewall until Obama can be defeated if he runs for a second term. GOD HELP THIS COUNTRY!!!
