Glenn: But first I want to spend some time on GM, and sometimes there's a story that is so good that you just have to read it verbatim. Usually you don't say that coming out of the New York Times, but this story is so good that I have to read it verbatim. Dateline Washington. It's not every 31 year old in a first government job that finds himself dismantling General Motors and rewriting the rules of American capitalism, but that in short is a job description for Brian Deese, a not quite graduate of Yale Law School.
Hold on just a second. I've just got to start at the beginning. Not every 31 year old 31 year old in the first government job that find himself dismantling General Motors and rewriting the rules of American capitalism, but that in short is the job description of Brian Deese, a not quite graduate of the Yale Law School. Huh. Brian Deese had never set foot in an automotive assembly plant until he took his nearly unseen role in the remaking of the American automotive industry, nor for that matter had he given much thought to what and I would an industry that had been in decline ever since he was born. A bit laconic and looking every bit just out of the graduate school student adjusting to life in the West Wing, he's got this beard that appears and disappears, says Steven Rattner, one of the leaders of President Obama's automotive task force. Mr. Deese was thrown into the auto industry's maelstrom as soon as the election night parties ended. There was a time between November 4th and mid February when I was the only full time member of the auto task force, said Mr. Deese, a guy again who hasn't graduated from Yale Law School... yet. Mr. Deese, a special assistant to the president for economic policy, acknowledged recently as he hurried between his desk at the White House and the treasury building next door, it's been a little scary, end quote. But now according to those who have joined him in the middle of his crash course about the automaker's downward spiral, he has emerged as one of the most influential voices in what may become President Obama's biggest experiment yet in federal economic intervention. I believe that is worth repeating that last sentence. But now according to those who have joined him, who have joined him in the middle of his crash course about the automaker's downward spiral, he, the guy who hasn't yet graduated from Yale Law School, it's his first ever government job, he at 31, in his first job, has been rewriting the rules of American capitalism. That guy has now emerged as one of the most influential voices in what may become President Obama's biggest experiment yet in federal economic intervention. While far more prominent members of the administration are making the big decisions about Detroit, it is Mr. Deese who is narrowing their options. A month ago when the administration was divided whether to support Fiat's bid to take over much of Chrysler, it was Mr. Deese who spoke out strongly against simply letting the company go into liquidation, according to several people who were present for the debate. Brian gasps both the economics and the politics. Hold on just a second. Wait just a second. Brian grasps both the economics and the politics about as quickly as I've seen anyone do, says Lawrence H. Summers, head of the economic council who is not known for being patient whenever he believes analysis is sub par or disagrees with his own. And there he was in the Roosevelt Room speaking up vigorously to make the point that the costs we were going to incur giving Fiat a chance were no greater than some of the hidden costs of liquidation. Mr. Deese was not the only one favoring the Fiat deal, but his lengthy memo on how liquidation would increase Medicaid costs, unemployment insurance, and municipal bankruptcies ended the debate. The administration supported this deal. It became a reality yesterday. A federal judge is now handling the high speed bankruptcy proceeding. They approved the sale. Chrysler's best assets would go to the Italian carmaker. Mr. Deese's role is unusual for someone who is neither a formally trained economist as well as not being a business school graduate. I'd like to point out that he also hasn't graduated from law school. They don't point that out. They say he is not a business school graduate and he has never spent much time flipping through the endless studies about the future of the American and Japanese auto industries. He's wait a minute, hang on just a second. That's a really cavalier way of putting it. Can you imagine if I were appointed on the president's economic council? Do you think the New York Times would just describe me as someone who also never spent much time flipping through the endless studies? Usually you get into a story like this and, okay, there's the meat of it. This never ends. He lives a dual life these days. He starts the day at a desk wedged outside of Mr. Summers' office. Where he can hear what young members of the economic team have come to know as "the Summers bellow." From there he can make it quickly to the press office to help devise explanations for why the taxpayers are spending more than $50 billion on what polls show is a very unpopular bailout for the auto industry. So not only is he devising the plans, he's devising the explanations as well. Several times a day he speed walks to the treasury, taking the shortcut to the tunnel under the colonnade near the kitchens. The other day he talked about how sharply perceptions of the industry's futures changed after Mr. Obama's elections. At the first meeting with Rick Wagoner, he said, referring to GM's recently deposed chief executive, they were in a very different place. He said publicly that bankruptcy was not a viable option. It's been a long process to be able to get everyone to look at the options differently. Is it Mr. Deese, the guy who hasn't graduated from college yet? Is it Mr. Deese who's not formally trained in the economics, nor a business school graduate, nor someone who has spent much time flipping through the endless studies about the future of American and Japanese auto industries that changed the president's mind? In fact, from before Inauguration Day few in Obama's circle saw any other choice. Every time Mr. Deese ran the numbers on GM and Chrysler, he came back with the now obvious conclusion that neither was a viable business and that their plans to revive themselves did not address the erosion of their revenues. But it took the support of Mr. Rattner and Ron Bloom, senior advisors to the tax force charged with restructuring the automobile industry to help turn Mr. Deese's positions into policy. So the guy with the least amount of experience that hasn't gone to college yet and finished anything doesn't have any formal training on economics, hasn't spent the endless time flipping through, he was the guy who said, let them fail while no one on the senior team saw it. And yet he did. He was the quick functioning he was quickly functioning as the top economic policy staffer through the campaign, Mr. Sperling said. He could blend the policies' needs and the political needs seamlessly. He resumed policy work in the White House. He found himself stuck in Chicago, unable to fly to Washington with his dog and as the economic crisis deepened, finally one night he decided just to get into his car with his dog and drive to Washington. I slept in the parking lot of the GM plant in Ohio. The plant opened during GM's heyday in the mid 1960s where the Pontiac G5 is produced. Under the plan that Mr. Deese worked on when he arrived in Washington, Pontiac will disappear. I guess it was prophetic, he said, shaking his head. Is this not insanity? We have somebody who doesn't know what the hell they are doing rewriting the laws of American capitalism. Can you imagine how the New York Times would treat someone making global warming policy that didn't spend time flipping through the endless studies? We have people in congress not reading bills. We have people in congress making decisions that have never run a business! Why is no one asking how is America going to get her $100 billion back? Is it because we know?

COMMENT: A 31-year old who has never worked in the private sector, never set foot on an assembly line, never worked at a dealership and he's Obama's hatchet man at GM tasked with dismantling the Automaker and rebuilding it in the liberal image (Can you say "Trainwreck?") Michael Moore is probably doing a happy dance as his dream of revenge on Roger Smith has come true. General Motors will be destroyed. Forget the fact that thousands will become unemployed and the economy will go in the tank. Obama promised change....Here you go.
This is from my comrade in the cause of freedom, Chris Dardzinski. Thanks, Chris.

“Words from the Several States” The Movement, part 001
The Movement begins . . . .
Sounds impressive, huh? As if I were producing a 16 part series on Homer or e.e. Cummings.
You know, I was sitting here the last few weeks, quilling a nice little series on the Constitution when my editor Scott, started poking me with his big political finger.
Ouch . . .
Don't worry, it won't leave a bruise.
I noticed how unhappy I've been lately, commenting on the various dealings of daily government, economics and the federal reserve.
Unsatisfied would be the feeling.
I want something more, deeper, far far deeper for the work I do; through this newsletter. As readers and fellow citizens, you deserve more from me.
I f I kept up on the same plain of writing, someday this column might be mistaken for just another Conservative leaning editorial. I won't have that, not in this lifetime or any other.
I write the above “tease” because I do want all my readers across America to know, that occasionally, I do listen to my editor.
What follows is an actual evolution. Where words, phrases and paragraphs become not an idea for a plan of action; but a bull-horn statement to all, that a movement now begins.
Muse one:
I noticed over 55% of Americans are disgusted with Republicans and their conservative power base. I also noticed over 60% of Americans are disgusted with Liberals and the Democratic party. I then noticed about 5% of Americans are disgusted with Liberals, Conservatives and wish the Libertarians would man up and run a real national campaign.
So if you do the “real” math, about 125% of Americans are sick, tired, disgusted and have no use for at least half of our political establishment.
This doesn't even count those like me, who are just plain disgusted that we have a “political establishment” in the first place. Regardless of it's party “badge” demographics.
Muse Two:
In the 29 years I have studied, researched and fought against the federal reserve and fiat money, I sometimes consider the reality, that “most people” do sit back and say “Yeah, I hear you Chris, the system is horribly broken, you make a lot of sense on this money thing; we will just have to wait and see of the new administration can do something about it.”
Six Presidential administrations have now been dropped in America's lap, since I started all this and I can't wait for “most people” any longer.
Hey, wake up!
Its really time to man up and be adults on this one central issue. The political power establishment in this country will do nothing beyond what it is doing right now; consolidating more power, authority and money within it's two parties.
The government will NEVER change it's course, style or tactics.
It is what it is, and only we the people can restore America.
I know where tens of millions of citizens are politically right now. I can cite their CNN
induced dribble, even if I were in a coma, “Obama is president and he will make everything better for me.”
Admit it, this is the way tens of millions of Americans are thinking right now. They believe it, and nothing is going to change their minds or make them want to educate themselves on the real-world disaster of Socialism.
But Chris! We have to let him try. We have to see if he will “change” things.
Oh yeah? Please re-read muse one.
Then, to make matters worse, you have conservative talk radio that actually believes “a return to conservatism” alone will restore America.
Hey, Conservative talk radio, wake up! At the end of the day, every two years, what you really want, is the conservative base restored in the Republican party. It's like putting a small red band-aid on a nation bleeding blue liberalism. It does nothing but waste band aids.
America has already entered, during the last 40 years, the first three stages of socialism. Our banks, schools and health care system are marginalized by socialist theory and practice.
I wonder if all those in conservative talk radio have the guts to man up as well, and join the real movement.
For those of you out there, who brand yourself conservative, and are crying because I just slapped around your precious talk radio; hey, those are the breaks.
Until conservative talk radio starts addressing the real issues of repealing the federal reserve act, ridding America of an illegal IRS and pulling us out of all these un-constitutional trade deals; then they really are not towing the line the way I need them to.
In others words, they need to bump it up to the next level. Right here, right now.
In this movement, we need the Constitution restored and our entire political infrastructure rebuilt. Anything less, is just the same old same old and I can watch that on CNN and FOX news.
Muse Three:
There is no more journalism left in the major media. None, its gone. I'm going to try and not even mention it, in future quills, because it literally pains me no end.
Muse Four:
But Chris! Please have faith! Obama is new, he's “different” than all the “other” politicians before him. He is going to “change” things, and make it better for us all.
Oh yeah? Please re-read muse one.
Muse Five:
Not for nothing, but Former president George W. Bush really deserves the title as first “socialist” president in America. He not only allowed, but truly signed onto, and used the power of the presidency, to partially socialize banks, insurance companies and the entire American economy.
Then Obama gets elected and continues the socialist work Bush started.
Socialism, get used to the word. This is where America is right now. The federal government, the federal reserve and the media will keep us on this path, regardless of they have a willing president or not. Though yes, it is worse, since President Obama is a socialist himself, and truly accepts Marxist theory as a way to govern a nation, her people and her resources.
Everyone of you out there reading this very section, who are ready to turn off your computers because you're so mad at how “wrong” you think I am on Obama, well you need to man up.
Anyone thinking I'm wrong on calling our current President a socialist and a Marxist, I got one question for you, have you ever read the Communist manifesto by Carl Marx?
If you have not, then do not presume to think that I am wrong about Obama's political affiliation and beliefs. And those of you who think his “policies for change” do not fall under the category of Socialism, then I really think you need to pick up a copy of the Communist Manifesto..
But Chris! This is not the USSR, this is America, and that “kind” of stuff doesn't happen here; the government would not “allow” it. Obama is “different” he will “change” things and make it better for all of us.
Muse Six:
For those who think I've slapped President Obama around to hard in this column, well I got news, this is no longer a column. And, if it really matters, I slapped Bush and his father around ten times harder than these few words towards Obama.
Oh yeah, did you catch that? “Words From The Several States” is no longer a column.
I won't go back to that anymore, because this is where I am now, on point in this movement.
There are hundreds of columnists every day, week and month, writing their various gripes, beefs and ranks on the daily happenings of our small planet.
America no longer needs my small voice in that chorus of editorials.
For 3 ½ years I thought I could slowly. methodically educate, expand and facilitate a national discussion on returning America to a Constitutionally required gold/silver standard.
I was wrong. Those of you who understand now the perils of fiat money certainly don't need me to guide you.
You're there, you know that eliminating the federal reserve is the first step, towards freeing up more “resources” as this movement shifts into high gear.
For the tens of millions who believe just because Obama as president will make their lives better, and they don't have to worry about anything, or doing anything. I'm not waiting around for you, I can't, the movement can't.
It's the very nature of “a movement”, it moves.
Sorry those are the breaks. You tens of millions will just need to sit back and wait for the government to make things better for you. The rest of us will simply have to swallow the very bitter pill, that we have to do your share of the heavy lifting.
Final Muse:
There are some of you, especially those who know me personally, that your jaws are dropped and you're shaking your head saying “Chris, why are you being so 'mean' to those tens of millions? Why are you being so tough?”
Hey, it's me. I'm still that adorable little fuzz-ball you all know and love.
America is just simply out of time, past out of time. It's time for me to take what I do, as my small part and do it as a genuine movement.
I'm not looking for tea party goers to give me tons of cash, so I can run for President. Quite the opposite, I don't want anyone to spend a lot of money, or do anything outside of supporting the Constitution.
No matter how busy you are, and I know all of you are, because I hear you and I got it.
Everyone though, can give the equivalent of “one evening a month” to the movement.
Here are my ideas for how we can network, spread information, and properly start the movement for ripping America out of the clutches of Socialism. All of this is simple, requires very little time and just a few pennies out from under the cushions.
-
Forward this movement to everyone in your address book. We have the power of the Internet to spread information and ideas. Lets us it to save our Constitution.
-
Everyone that has not already, really does need to click on FRN Newsletter's website and buy a copy of my book “The Conversation That Almost Happened.” For $18 you will get everything you will ever need to know about the federal reserve, and how it directly affects the money in your pocket and the freedom you hold dear. Yes I want to make money off my book, but getting good information in your hands is by far the most important thing. My book is as much about citizen participation as it is about the federal reserve.
-
The signature page for this movement's national referendum will be attached to every movement writing and update. Get those five signatures and mail it in to FRN Newsletter. This is the only way we will force Congress and the President to adhere to the Constitution.
-
Everyone has to call, write or e-mail their elected officials once a month and let them know about the movement. Evey month, so they know this is something that is here to stay. I have contact numbers for the federal government on the website. Click on “National Plan of Action.”
-
Finally, whatever issue burns deep in your heart; please get involved, whether it be local, county, state or federal. It all matters.
We cannot stop what has already happened and we certainly cannot live in a fantasy world where we think any elected official is going to take care of us. The very nature of a free society is that we take care of ourselves and the government does as little as possible. Anytime you stray from that principle, you get Socialism.
We cannot sit back and say “someone will come along and take of these problems, and make sure it all works out for the best.”
When everyone is waiting around for “someone” to stand up, it will never happen.
Thats the truth and we all know it.
Someone in this country has to stand up and be on point for this movement. Someone has to be a rally point, a battle cry, and a leader all at the same time. Someone needs to take political activism to that next level.
So allow me to properly introduce myself, my name is Chris, I am a patriot and a Citizen of these United states, and I am on point..
If you are reading this, then you are the movement.
"Enough Said!"
