452 Days to the 2010 Congressional Mid-Term Elections

Let's hear it for the DRAFT-DODGING POTHEAD!!!

   Sometimes, even a cad like Bill Clinton can get it right. This was one of those times. This week, the former President brought two American journalists out of North Korea following a meeting with dictator Kim Jong Il, who then pardoned the women who faced 12 years in a forced labor prison for entering the country illegally (for the purpose of espionage). Euna Lee and Laura Ling, both reporters for former Vice-President Al Gore's Current TV Channel were freed just 24 hours after Clinton arrived on a private humanitarian mission to parlay for their release. Whether or not Clinton was working at the clandestine behest of Barack Obama as a back-door operative or was doing a favor for Secretary of State  Hillary Clinton (AKA, The Mrs.)  or Al Gore is subject for speculation, as is whether or not a deal was made with North Korea regarding that country's nuclear program. All that matters at this point is that Lee and Ling are free and safe at home. Could this rescue mission blow up in Obama's face and make him look like he made a deal with Kim Jong Il? Could this make the Clintons look like people who can deliver the goods better than Obama, and thus garner political collateral for Hillary for a possible Presidential run of her own in 2012? Maybe. I would not mind seeing another Clinton Vs. Obama showdown.  Stay Tuned.
