Obama's First 100 Days... The WORST is yet to come!!!

05-05-05
545 Days to the 2010 Congressional Mid-Term Elections.

There are those in the far-left that are of a mind that America owes the world an apology for being a global economic and military superpower. That we must atone for our "Sins" by crippling our own economy and leaving our country open to more terrorist attacks. In his first 100 days as President, Barack Obama did just that.

Since he took office, "President" Obama has:

1) Compromised national security by ordering the shutdown of the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. Now all the "suspected" terrorists need to do is get to a U.S. courtroom and claim their civil rights were violated, or that the prosecution would have to declassify sensitive intelligence information to make their cases, and they will get off scott free to rejoin their terror cells and attack us again. Obama then sold out the CIA and gave our enemies our playbook on interrogation methods and prohibiting the use of waterboarding or any other aggressive tactics aimed at obtaining vital information so as to prevent further attacks. The far-left would rather see another 9/11 attack take place than allow our intelligence operatives a free hand in doing whatever it takes to stop it. You can thank the ACLU for that. It was their lawsuit that brought about this and Obama was real quick to give in. I guess he owed them a campaign promise and chose to endanger us all to keep it.

2) Obama then paid off radical environmentalists when he pledged to continue and increase restrictions on domestic offshore oil drilling, coal mining and  nuclear power plant construction. Obama also pledged to push for the production of more fuel efficient automobiles that run cleaner than current "Gas Guzzlers". He did say before the election he would make it too expensive for a coal burning electrical plants to operate and that other fossil fuels would not be inexpensive options in the movement towards energy independence. Unless of course the oil and coal companies agree to pay higher windfall profits and capital gains taxes. Apparently fossil fuels aren't so dirty if Uncle Sam gets a piece of the action.

3) Obama then threw a bone to organized labor when he came out in support of the "Enployee Free Choice Act,"  also know as "Card Check". This bill, if passed, would make it easier for unions to recruit workers by letting them sign cards instead of holding secret ballot votes in which companies can campaign against the union. The problem with "Card Check" is that unions can strong-arm employees into voting to organize by threatening to shut down a workplace if those who voted against the union were not fired.. Employees on the other hand could threaten to fire anyone who votes for a union. Hence the need for the secret ballot . All "Card Check" does is help fill the coffers of unions through extortion of workers who would have to pay union dues to keep their jobs.  I wonder what will happen if and when the interests of organized labor and environmentalists will come in conflict. Will a coal-burning power plant be forced to shut down and idle it's unionized workers to appease environmental activists? Will a nuclear plant be built and put on line to provide clean energy and appease the unions demanding jobs? Hmmm.

4)  During his "Sackcloth and Ashes" tour of Europe, "President" Obama prostrated himself (as well as America) before Eurpoean leaders and acknowledged our "Arrogance" (i.e.: our refusal to roll over for terrorists and not negotiate with them and put an end to Saddam Hussein's reign of terror in the middle east)  and pledged to improve relations with the Eurpoean community.  He said the past 8 years (i.e. the Bush Administration) were not the best vis a vi those relations. He then went on to Saudi Arabia and BOWED before their king during a meeting with their royal family. BOWED !! Then, at the recent "Summit of the Americas", Obama shook hands and accepted a gift book from Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez and then sat through a near hour-long anti-America tirade from Nicaragua's Marxist tyrant Daniel Ortega when he should have walked out and told both  Ortega and Chavez to shove it.

Mr. Obama (I will not address you as "Mr. President" until I think you have earned that salutation), The President of the United States bows to NO ONE, especially the rulers of nations that take advantage of us.  The President of the United States makes NO apologies to any nation for it's economic prosperity or willingness and ability to defend itself, especially on foreign soil. The President of the United States makes NO deals with radical environmentalists or corrupt union organizers who would cripple our economy to forward their agendas. Finally, the President of the United States does NOT offer up his hand or take the hand of our country's enemies or allow himself to be lectured to  by totalitarian thugs.

This was just his first 100 days. What Next???
